Italian Authorities Seize Bitcoin From BitGrail Wallets Following Court Order

Following a court order by the Tribunal of Florence, the cryptocurrency exchange has announced that bitcoins stored in the firm’s wallets have been seized by Italian authorities (Cointelegraph).

The Bank of International Settlements is dedicating two chapters of its annual economic report to cryptocurrencies. The review stated: “What makes currencies credible is trust in the issuing institution, and successful central banks have a proven record of earning this public trust. The short experience of cryptocurrencies shows that technology, however sophisticated, is a poor substitute for hard-earned trust in sound institutions” (Coindesk).

The Indie film, titled Crypto, will feature Russell as well as Alexis Bledel, Jeremie Harris and Luke Hemsworth. It “focuses on a young anti-money laundering agent, played by Beau Knapp, who returns to his hometown in New York to investigate a case of corruption and fraud” (Coindesk).

The three reasons touch on Ethereum’s future, the augur platform and software mining (CNBC).

The response being, “The request has been rejected, with the agency stating that it can neither confirm nor deny the existence of the requested documents” (Cointelegraph).

Baiju Bhatt, the co-founder and co-CEO of the crypto and stock trading app, said, “It has this tenacity to it which it just keeps coming back. There are times when there are big run ups in the price, and the price goes down and its relevance in society seems to fade back. And it keeps coming back” (Cointelegraph).
